FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do You Accept Insurance?

Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance in order to provide you with more flexibility and control over your therapy experience. This allows us to focus on your unique needs and goals without the limitations of insurance guidelines. To make therapy more accessible, I do offer sliding scale fees.

  • Do You Provide Substance Use Disorder Services?

While I specialize in mental health therapy, I do not currently offer services specifically designed to address substance use disorders. However, I understand the importance of seeking help for addiction. If you're struggling with substance use, I can connect you with qualified professionals who can provide the specialized care you need.

  • Confidentiality and Privacy?

I understand the importance of confidentiality in creating a safe space for open communication. Everything you share in our sessions will be kept confidential, except in rare situations where there's a legal or ethical obligation to disclose information. This may include a duty to warn if you express serious intent to harm yourself or others, or if I am a mandated reporter for situations like suspected child abuse or elder abuse.

  • Do You Offer Group Counseling?

We understand the power of group therapy to provide support, share experiences, and learn new coping mechanisms. We offer group counseling sessions on a range of topics such as grief, codependency, parenting issues, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and communication. To foster a dynamic and supportive group environment, a minimum of 2-3 participants is required for each group to begin.
